Vapor Intrusion Investigation, Industrial Dry-Cleaning Facility

Our team conducted a comprehensive vapor intrusion investigation at a former large-scale industrial dry-cleaning facility in California to evaluate the effectiveness of an active soil vapor extraction (SVE) system in mitigating VOC migration to indoor air. The investigation work included multiple rounds of sub-slab soil gas and indoor air sampling, cross-slab vacuum measurements, and optimization of the SVE system to maintain adequate sub-slab pressure differentials. Our team performed monitoring, trend analysis, and regulatory reporting, confirming that vapor intrusion risks were mitigated to below residential screening levels in occupied areas. This project highlights our expertise in managing vapor intrusion at complex industrial sites, system performance evaluation, and compliance with complex state guidance.
