Our team successfully executed a comprehensive vapor intrusion investigation at a large, historical industrial manufacturing facility in California. Project investigation work included pre-sampling surveys, co-located indoor air and sub-slab soil gas sampling, ambient air monitoring, and cross-slab pressure differential testing. We evaluated vapor intrusion potential under non-mitigated conditions, performed human health risk assessments, and designed a pilot study to confirm the effectiveness of a sub-slab depressurization system (SSDS). Following feasibility confirmation, we designed and managed SSDS installation, system optimization, and post-installation performance monitoring, achieving compliance with California regulatory guidance and demonstrating effective mitigation of vapor intrusion risk. This project highlights our capability to deliver end-to-end vapor intrusion solutions from investigation and risk assessment through design, implementation, and regulatory coordination.
