EHS Support was enlisted by a client to streamline their monthly National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance reporting. We established a database of historical site sampling results and developed workflows to process and upload data from two analytical laboratories plus field measurements collected by site staff, leveraging programmatic approaches to minimize manual data handling. In support of their monthly reporting to the POTW, we designed a custom self-monitoring report to meet agency requirements. The population of the report is automated, thereby leveraging data stored in the project database and programmatically performing relevant calculations. This approach minimizes opportunities for manual data transcription errors, ensures consistency in calculations, and allows for efficient updates.
