EHS Support provided environmental geochemistry expertise for a former ore refinery residue disposal area. The facility refined ore into feed stock for smelting, and the residue after base metal extraction was placed inside gypsum berms. The soil remedy is substantially complete, and the current focus is groundwater.
EHS Support has developed a preliminary hydrogeologic conceptual site model to inform the Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study process and a comprehensive analysis of transport and attenuation of constituents in groundwater, including metals, inorganics, and radiologicals.
